Here are two National schools, one an elegant and imposing structure, of red brick and stone, capable of accommodating 140 children, built on the old site, and opened in 1873, by the Lord Bishop of Chichester as a Mixed school; also one picturesquely situated on Ashdown forest, to accommodate 60 children, built and opened as an infant school in same year. | |||||
