All that part of the parish of East Grinstead which lies to the North of the Turnpike from Park Corner House to East Grinstead Town, bounded on the East by the road leading from Forest Row Bridges to Holtie Common, by way of Shovelstrode Farm and on the West by the road leading from East Grinstead to Wilderwick, bounded by the parishes of Hartfield, Cowden and Lingfield.
