He was born 21^st Feb 1865 at Herstmonceux, Sussex; died 26^th Feb 1953 at Summer Hill, Warbleton, Sussex, probate to William Thomas Ellis and John Ellis farmers. They had the following children:

	He married Ellen Fairway on 8^th Jan 1919 at St. Mary's Church, Warbleton, Sussex, witnesses Annie & Alfred Fairway. She was born 25^th Mar 1891 at Warbleton, Sussex; christened 14^th Jun 1891 at St. Mary's Church, Warbleton, Sussex

	3. John Ellis was the son of Thomas Elliss and Mary Jane Ellis [Oxley]. He was born 24^th Aug 1895 at Warbleton, Sussex
	He married Naomi Ellis [Ellis] on 5^th Apr 1919 at All Saints Church, Laughton, Sussex, witnesses Charles, Ann & Lusy Ellis & Mabel Luisa Funnell
