	He married Elizabeth Stone on 29^th Dec 1840 at St Botolph, Chevening, Kent. She was born c 1820. They had the following children:

	2. William Ashdown, labourer was the son of William Ashdown, bricklayer and Elizabeth Ashdown [Stone]. He was born 1841 at Chiddingstone, Kent; christened 9^th Dec 1841 at St. Mary's Church, Chiddingstone, Kent; died Jan to Mar 1882, registered at Tonbridge District, Kent, ref: 1882 Q1 Vol 2a Page 391, aged 40 years
	He married Mary Ann on c 1860. She was born 1834 at Tonbridge, Kent. They had the following children:
