	He married Sophia Baldwin on Oct to Dec 1859, registered at Ticehurst District, Sussex, ref: 1859 Q4 Vol 2b Page 163. She was born 1838 at Wadhurst, Sussex. They had the following children:

	2. Eliza Young [Baldwin] was the daughter of Edward Baldwin and Sophia May [Baldwin]. She was born 1863 at Wadhurst, Sussex; christened 19^th Apr 1863 at St. Peter and St. Paul Parish Church, Wadhurst, Sussex
	She married Henry James Young, railway platelayer on 28^th Jul 1898 at St. Paul's Church, Rusthall, Rusthall, Kent, witnesses Daniel May & Alice ELiza Baldwin. He was born 1855 at Frant, Sussex; christened 18^th Nov 1855 at St. Alban's Church, Frant, Sussex. They had the following children:
