He was born 1825 at Hadlow, Kent; christened 16^th Oct 1825 at St. Mary's Church, Hadlow, Kent, son of William Barton and Elizabeth Barton. They had the following children:

	2. Jesse Barton, coach painter was the son of George Barton, under gardener and Charlotte Barton [Barden]. He was born 1852 at Hadlow, Kent; christened 29^th Feb 1852 at St. Mary's Church, Hadlow, Kent, son of George Barton (labourer) and Charlotte Barton
	He married Marianne Battman on 11^th Jul 1874 at St. Mary's Church, Hadlow, Kent, registered at Tonbridge District, Kent, ref: 1874 Q3 Vol 2a Page 803, witnesses: George and Mary Ann Barton. She was born 1852 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent. They had the following children:
