  He married Lydia Edwards on Apr to June 1856, registered at Ticehurst District, Sussex, ref: 1856 Q2 Vol 2b Page 105. She was born 1831 at Burwash, Sussex; christened 12th Jun 1831 at St. Bartholomew's Church, Burwash, Sussex; died May 1889 at Burwash, Sussex, aged 58 years; buried 11th May 1889 at St. Philip's Church, Burwash, Sussex.
