He was born 1800 at Battle, Sussex; christened 26th Mar 1800 at St. Mary, Battle, Sussex, parents Daniel & Lydia Ray; died Feb 1854 at Hampton Place, Brighton, Sussex; buried 10th Feb 1854 at St. Nicholas Church, Brighton, Sussex. They had the following children:
