	1. John Groombridge was the son of Richard Groombridge, farm labourer and Ann Groombridge [Fry]. He was born 16^th Apr 1815 at Frenches Farm, Rotherfield, Sussex; christened 28^th May 1815 at St. Denys Church, Rotherfield, Sussex
	He married Mary Ann Penfold on 1847 at Charlton, Kent, Witnesses: Lionel and Harriett (nee Penfold) Bellingham. She was born 1816 at Belvedere, Kent; died 1901 at Dartford, Kent, Aged 86 years. They had the following children:
	i	Richard John who was born 1848 at Crayford, Kent; died 1927 Hastings, Sussex
	ii	John who was born 1850 at Crayford, Kent; died 1914 Dartford, Kent, Aged 64 years
2	iii	Marion who was born 1857 at Crayford, Kent; died 1922 Tonbridge, Kent, Aged 63 years

	2. Marion Apps [Groombridge] was the daughter of John Groombridge and Mary Ann Groombridge [Penfold]. She was born 1857 at Crayford, Kent; died 1922 at Tonbridge, Kent, Aged 63 years
	She married Henry William Apps on Oct to Dec 1901, registered at West Ham District, Essex, ref: 1901 Q4 Vol 4a Page 179. He was born 1840 at Chatham, Kent

	3. Frederick Groombridge was the son of John Groombridge and Mary Ann Groombridge [Penfold]. He was born 1860 at Erith, London; died 1946
	He married Fanny Hilbert on c 1885. She was born 23^rd Oct 1859 at Dartford, Kent; died 14^th Nov 1944, Aged 84; Killed by enemy action; buried after 14^th Nov 1944 at Eltham Churchyard, Eltham, London, Grave No. 163 Plot A. They had the following children:
