He was born 20th Mar 1836 at Paris, France, son of Ambrose Poynter and Emma Forster; died 26th Jul 1919 at 70 Addison Road, Kensington, London; buried 30th Jul 1919 at St. Paul's Cathedral, London. They had the following children:
