	1. James Miles, farmer was the son of Richard Burr Miles, farm labourer and Ann Miles [Moon]. He was born 1829 at Rotherfield, Sussex; died 2^nd Dec 1874 at Rotherfield, Sussex, aged 46 years; buried 8^th Dec 1874 at St. Denys Church, Rotherfield, Sussex
	He married (1) Sarah Izzard on 20^th Nov 1853 at St. Dunstan Church, Mayfield, Sussex. She was born 20^th Jun 1828 at Acres, Rotherfield, Sussex; christened 27^th Jul 1828 at St. Denys Church, Rotherfield, Sussex, daughter of Jesse Izzard (labourer) & Mary Izzard; died Dec 1861 at Wadhurst, Sussex, aged 33 years; buried 15^th Dec 1861 at St. Peter and St. Paul Parish Church, Wadhurst, Sussex. They had the following children:

	ii	James who was born 1859 at Rotherfield, Sussex
	iii	Sarah who was born 1861 at Wadhurst, Sussex

	He married Susanna Boorman on Apr to June 1880, registered at Uckfield District, Sussex, ref: 1880 Q2 Vol 2b Page 168. She was born 1858 at Wadhurst, Sussex
