  He married Anne Elizabeth Oxley on 24th Feb 1845 at All Saints Church, Herstmonceux, Sussex, registered at Hailsham District, Sussex, ref: 1845 Q1 Vol 7 Page 423, witnesses Othniel & Mary Oxley. She was born 26th Apr 1823 at Herstmonceux, Sussex; christened 25th May 1823 at Herst.IndCh, Herstmonceux, Sussex; emigrated 3rd Jul 1857 to New York, USA, arrived from Liverpool on the Constellation; died 27th Dec 1907 at Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York, USA. They had the following children:
