	He married (1) Mary Ann Lockyer on Oct to Dec 1850, registered at Lewes District, Sussex, ref: 1850 Q4 Vol 7 Page 669. She was born 1824 at Rotherfield, Sussex; died Sep 1866 at Rotherfield, Sussex, aged 43 years; buried 16^th Sep 1866 at St. Denys Church, Rotherfield, Sussex. They had the following children:
