	He married (1) Charlotte Hook on 31^st Jan 1854 at St. Bartholomew's Church, Burwash, Sussex, registered at Ticehurst District, Sussex, ref: 1854 Q1 Vol 2b Page 95. She was born 1834; died Dec 1859 at Burwash, Sussex, aged 25 years; buried 28^th Dec 1859 at St. Bartholomew's Church, Burwash, Sussex. They had the following children:
