	He married (1) Ann Croft on 20^th Jul 1833 at St. Dunstan Church, Mayfield, Sussex. She was born 1816 at Fletching, Sussex. They had the following children:

	He married (2) Ann Durrant on 1^st Jun 1847 at St. Margaret's Church, Buxted, Sussex. She was born c 1820. They had the following children:

	2. Alfred Walters was the son of Edward Walter, farmer and Ann Walters [Croft]. He was born 1834 at Buxted, Sussex
	He married Phoebe on c 1865. She was born 1845 at Rotherfield, Sussex. They had the following children:
	i	Ellen who was born 1873 at Buxted, Sussex

	3. Ruth Goldsmith [Walter] was the daughter of Edward Walter, farmer and Ann Walter [Durrant]. She was born 1852 at Framfield, Sussex
	She married Herman Goldsmith, bricklayer on Jan to Mar 1873, registered at Lewes District, Sussex, ref: 1873 Q1 Vol 2b Page 239. He was born 1849 at Fletching, Sussex. They had the following children:
	i	Frank who was born 1874 at Uckfield, Sussex
	ii	Ester Rosa who was born 1879 at Uckfield, Sussex
