He was born 1777 at Burwash, Sussex; christened 15^th Jun 1777 at St. Bartholomew's Church, Burwash, Sussex, parents Thomas & Elizabeth Button; died 6^th Aug 1868 at Silver Hill, Salehurst, Sussex, in his 92nd year, formerly and for many years a well known and much respected inhabitant of Burwash; buried 9^th Aug 1868 at St. Bartholomew's Church, Burwash, Sussex, aged 91 years.
