Lieut-Col William Edwin Fell, Duke of York's Own Royal Garrison Artillery, of Fowthorpe, Filey, Yorks was the son of Captain William Edwin Cotton Fell, of Lochrin House, Edinburgh & 2nd Midlothian Artillery Volunteer Corps and Barbara Louisa Read [Fell]. He was born 10^th Jun 1858 at 11 Brunswick Street, Hillside, Calton, Edinburgh, Scotland; died 5^th Feb 1916, aged 57 years
	He married Alice Pickersgill-Cunliffe on 3^rd Aug 1882. She was born 1862 at Hooley, Coulsdon, Surrey, dughter of John Cunliffe Pickersgill-Cunliffe, M.P., of Hooley, urrey and Helen Hutton; christened 18^th Apr 1862 at Coulsdon, Surrey; died 14^th Oct 1954, aged 92 years. They had the following children:
