	He married Jane Thompson on 8^th May 1857 at Edinburgh, Scotland. She was born c 1835, daughter of James Thompson; died 26^th Mar 1877. They had the following children:

	4. Alexander Price Haig, of Blairhill, Perth was the son of James Richard Haig, F.S.A., of Blairhill, Perth and Highfields Park, Withyham and Jane Haig [Thompson]. He was born 27^th Nov 1863; died 20^th Sep 1940, aged 76 years
	He married Jessie Louisa Armstrong on 1^st Aug 1885. She was born c 1865, daughter of George Armstrong of The Elms, Gosforth

	5. Jessie Anderson [Haig] was the daughter of James Richard Haig, F.S.A., of Blairhill, Perth and Highfields Park, Withyham and Jane Haig [Thompson]. She was born 9^th Jan 1867; died 1^st Jan 1953, aged 85 years
	She married Alexander Cunningham Anderson on 29^th Jul 1886. He was born c 1865; died 1936

	6. Lieut-Col David Price Haig, OBE, of Highfields Park, Withyham was the son of James Richard Haig, F.S.A., of Blairhill, Perth and Highfields Park, Withyham and Jane Haig [Thompson]. He was born 27^th Dec 1868; died 25^th Dec 1936, aged 67 years
	He married Edith Mary Wacher on 25^th Mar 1896 at St Peter's Church, Kensington, London, witnesses: Charles F. Wacher and Charles De Burgh. She was born 1878, daughter of Charles Frederick Wacher; died 20^th Feb 1923

	7. James Richard Price Haig was the son of James Richard Haig, F.S.A., of Blairhill, Perth and Highfields Park, Withyham and Jane Haig [Thompson]. He was born 21^st Feb 1870; died 9^th Apr 1945, aged 75 years
	He married Elsie Willis Jones on 1911. She was born c 1885; died 6^th May 1959

	8. Mary Ann Locke [Haig] was the daughter of James Richard Haig, F.S.A., of Blairhill, Perth and Highfields Park, Withyham and Jane Haig [Thompson]. She was born 15^th Dec 1873; died 1^st Jan 1968, aged 94 years
	She married Colonel Brian John Michael Locke, CMG DSO on 24^th Sep 1901. He was born c 1870, son of Frederick Locke DL JP of Dane House, Hartlip; died 26^th Sep 1948
