Foxhole. 160 acres. - The house has the long sloping back roof common to Sussex Farm houses. Wadhurst records mention it in 1426, but who then owned it is not clear.

In 1634 Foxhole was held by Alexander Bucher, of Town House, Wadhurst, and his son-in-law, Hodsoll. Then for about a century by Collins and Jeffery, and from the latter it passed into the Whiligh Estate.
