1861 Rotherfield Census (including Crowborough)
Reference RG9/574: Rotherfield Enumeration District No 2

Part of the Parish of Rotherfield commencing of at Mr Gowerss corner in the Village and keep the High Road to Mark Cross and from thence to the boundary of the Parish at the corner of Knapp Wood on the Frant Road and from thence to the Gravel Pit on Saxonbury Hill taking the Road to Green Hedges and Spratts Bottom then take the Road to Cowford Bridge keeping the main Road back to Mr Gower's Corner taking all the Houses within that boundary.
