Part of the Civil Parish of Laughton lying to the South of the Turnpike Road, leading from Lewes to Battle, as far as Stones Cross, and East of the Road leading from thence to East Hoathly to the Boundary of the Parish (but not including and Houses in that Road) this District includes Laughton Place, Toll Gate House, Mark Cross, the Lulhams, Stones Cross, Broomham, and all the Houses at Whitesmith which are in the Parish of Laughton.
