Stevenson, Thomas. Aged 56. Farmer, etc. Owns Sweet Mine Pits comprising dwelling house and cottage and 11 acres of land held of Duddleswell Manor. Quit rent 18s. 4d. It belonged to his Father before him. He purchased it off Widow Wood.

His Father and he both dug stone off the Forest for repairing and adding to buildings. He never paid anyone for it and he believes his Father did not. He died 15 years ago.

He has had litter and turf all his life off the Forest without paying anything. He has carted stone for other people off the Forest, but cannot say whether they paid for it or not. He has had marl off the Forest but has never paid for it. Has had underwood, but paid for it.

Charles Marchant, beershop keeper.
