The Weald of Kent, Surrey and Sussex
John Cade
Printer friendly version

The events of the seditious movement of which John Cade was the ostensible head are well known - how he encamped on Blackheath with his Kentish army - how he defeated the royal forces at Sevenoaks - how he beheaded the Lord Say and Sele in Cheapside, and proclaimed himself master of London - and how he was finally routed by the King's forces and put to death by Alexander Iden.
