Jonathan Cheesman (1878-1917) - Private SD/3552 died 5 Feb 1917 aged 39 years, 9th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment, buried at the Bellicourt British Cemetery, Bellicourt, Departement de l'Aisne, Picardie, France. He was born 1878 at Brighton to Edwin and Harriett Cheesman. In 1910 he married Blanche Leonora Heath (1883-1935) and they lived at 1 Park Crescent, Eridge Road, Crowborough (Blanche is recorded there in 1911 census). Blanche remarried William John Parker Q3 1917 at Eastbourne and they emigrated to Canada after the war.
