	1. Richard Miles, farm labourer was the son of John Miles, farm labourer and Sarah Mighells [Burgess]. He was born 1799 at Little Horsted, Sussex; christened 13^th Oct 1799 at St. Michael & All Angels Church, Little Horsted, Sussex, son of John Miles and Ann[sic] Miles
	He married Elizabeth Piper on 7^th Jan 1822 at St Bartholomew Parish Church, Maresfield, Sussex. She was born 1799; died May 1839 at Little Horsted, Sussex, aged 40 years; buried 24^th May 1839 at St. Michael & All Angels Church, Little Horsted, Sussex. They had the following children:
	i	Sarah who was born Jun 1822 at Isfield, Sussex; christened 9^th Jun 1822 St. Margaret's Church, Isfield, Sussex, daughter of Richard Miles (labourer) and Elizabeth Miles
