1902 | History | Summerford [a.k.a. Long Grange] Farm | Sutton's Historical Notes
The boundary of Fiskeridge Farm is desribed in the "Barony of Buckhurst" as leading to Liegoade Common on the North, and abutting on the London Field on the South, and it appears on the map to be almost in the centre of Summerford Farm near Blackham Mead and Little Combe. The farmhouse was pulled down many years ago. By 1799 Fiskeridge was held with Summerford Farm, or, as it was called, Long Grange. Little Summerford was on the opposite side of the road, on the railway side of the river, and was for many years held with Long Grange Farm.
