To my son Alexander Weller, my messuage wherein I now dwell, with orchards and gardens, and three pieces of land which I lately bought of my brother Stephen Weller. Also to my son Alexander, my messuage wherein Allen Wildish mow dwells. Also to him, 2 pieces of land in the tenure of Springat of Hawkhurst. Also to him, my messuage and land in the tenure of Alexander Ellibancke of Cranbrook parish.
To my son Richard Weller, my messuage and land in the tenure of Thomas Couchman and John Ashdowne, with two gardens and two pieces of land. Also to Richard, four pieces of land which Alexander Weller my father bought of Richard Portryfe.
Whereas my wife has a jointure of £sixteen per year coming out of the lands bequeathed to my son Richard, if she will release the jointure, then she can have £ten per year from the land of my son Richard and £ten per year from the land of my son Alexander. My wife Eleanor shall have her dwelling in the house wherein John Asdowne now dwells, during her widowhood.
The tables and other furniture shall remain in the house until my son Alexander is of age, and his mother shall have the use of them in the meantime. To my wife Eleanor, £twenty.
To my daughter Eleanor, &pond;two hundred, when married or twenty one.
To my sons Alexander and Richard, £eighty each.
If all 3 of my children should die without heirs before receiving their legacies, then my wife Eleanor shall have the messuage and my goods for life. After her decease, everything shall remain to my brother Stephen Weller and his heirs, he paying my brother John Weller £two hundred and the heirs of my brother Richard £two hundred.
To each of my sisters and sisters-in-law, a gold ring of ten shillings.
Executors: my brother Stephen Weller, and to him, the residue of my goods.
Overseers: my brother John Weller and my cousin Peter Courthopp of Godderd's Green.
Witnesses: Dence Weller and George Martin, Senior.
